David (aka Verbal Math) and Ian (aka DJ Ian Head) have been excavating record crates for over a decade. In 2006, they released an EP dedicated to their vinyl-obsession - "One More Crate" - for free on social media, generating thousands of downloads.
On that release's ten-year anniversary, the duo felt it was time to drop their own piece of wax. "Pragmatic" is an all-time favorite from that original EP, and the b-side "Style Points Coda" is something new for the vinyl heads.

I was brought here after listening to a live performance of Makaya's on you tube. I instantly loved the song Holy Lands so much that I had to see if the album version was the same rendition as the live one. Then I listened to the whole album! Universal Beings is a just a groove... It's a mix of traditional and something new, very nice. pandr1900
